Classes

First Timers

The First Timers class will cover the fundamental safety movements and training ideas of Parkour. It is designed to be accessible and challenging for all except the most elite athletes. There are no fitness level requirements, but be prepared to jump. Ages 7+

The main areas adressed are:

  • Warm Up
  • What is Parkour?
  • Running
  • Landing
  • Jumping
  • Rolling
  • Quadrupedal Movement
  • Climbing
  • Basic Conditioning
  • Shoes and Clothing
  • Stretching and Warm Down

Completion of the First Timers class is mandatory for continuation in the Basics classes. Practitioners who have completed an Australian Parkour Association First Timers class are exempt from this rule.

NOTE:

To participate you must complete a Waiver / Membership form. This can be downloaded from http://www.JumpSquadHQ.com/WAIVER.pdf or can be completed on arrival. Please bring a bottle of water with you and wear comfortable clothing.
